Cotton double sided tubular casing to enclose white bone or spiral boning. Available in 3/4" (to accomodate 1/2" boning), and in 1/2" (to accomodate 1/4" boning). We find this to be the most ideal and easy way to secure your boning... poke resistant and very sturdy! If you use boning, you should be using bone casing for optimum protection against "pop-throughs"!

July 22, 1862, Sep. 15, 1863, Mar. 22, & Nov. 29, 1864. Reissued June 18, 1867." The historical notes contain extensive information about the history of this garment, and it's many modifications, from the mid-1860s through the 1890s. The original as it appears today is made of a light weight glazed caramel colored cotton twill. This corset may be made with or without shoulder straps.
